TORNADO WARNING

National Weather Service Baltimore MD/Washington DC

431 PM EDT Mon Aug 10 2026

...THE TORNADO WARNING FOR NORTHEASTERN ANNE ARUNDEL...NORTHEASTERN

HOWARD AND SOUTHWESTERN BALTIMORE COUNTIES AND BALTIMORE CITY IS

CANCELLED...

The rotation which prompted the warning has weakened, and no longer

appears capable of producing a tornado.

Therefore, the warning has been cancelled. However, destructive

straight line winds are still possible with this thunderstorm.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM EDT for

central and northern Maryland.

...THE TORNADO WARNING FOR WEST CENTRAL BALTIMORE COUNTY AND NORTHERN

BALTIMORE CITY IS CANCELLED...

The tornado threat has diminished and the Tornado Warning has been

cancelled. However, large hail and damaging winds remain likely and a

Severe Thunderstorm Warning remains in effect for the area. However,

gusty winds are still possible with this thunderstorm.

Eastern Harford County in northern Maryland...

Cecil County in northeastern Maryland...

* Until 515 PM EDT.

* At 433 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms with a history of producing

wind damage were located along a line extending from near Octoraro

to near Pleasant Hills to Rosedale, moving east at 50 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Damaging winds will cause some trees and large branches

to fall. This could injure those outdoors, as well as

damage homes and vehicles. Roadways may become blocked by

downed trees. Localized power outages are possible.

Unsecured light objects may become projectiles.

* Locations impacted include...

Elkton, Aberdeen, Havre De Grace, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Calvert,

Bel Air South, Bel Air North, Riverside, North East, Rising Sun,

Perryman, Charlestown, Cecilton, Warwick, Zion, Blake, Barksdale,

Bohemias Mills, West Nottingham, and Octoraro.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a

building.

Large hail, damaging wind, and continuous cloud to ground lightning

are occurring with these storms. Move indoors immediately. Lightning

is one of nature's leading killers. Remember, if you can hear

thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning.
