Potomac River at Little Falls affecting Montgomery and Fairfax

Counties.

Potomac River at Hancock affecting Washington and Morgan Counties.

Potomac River at Harpers Ferry affecting Washington and Jefferson

Counties.

Potomac River at Edwards Ferry affecting Loudoun and Montgomery

Counties.

Potomac River at Point of Rocks affecting Loudoun and Frederick

Counties.

Shenandoah River at Millville affecting Jefferson, Warren and

Clarke Counties.

Conococheague Creek at Fairview affecting Washington County.

Cacapon River near Great Cacapon affecting Morgan County.

...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in West

Virginia...Maryland...Virginia...

Potomac River at Shepherdstown affecting Washington, Berkeley and

Jefferson Counties.

...The Flood Warning is cancelled for the following rivers in

Virginia...

Rappahannock River at Fredericksburg affecting Stafford, City of

Fredericksburg and Spotsylvania independent cities.

For the Potomac River...including Paw Paw, Hancock, Shepherdstown,

Harpers Ferry, Point of Rocks, Edwards Ferry, Little Falls...

Moderate flooding is forecast.

For the Shenandoah River...including Millville...Minor flooding is

forecast.

For the Rappahannock River...including Remington, Fredericksburg,

Fredericksburg...Minor flooding is forecast.

For the Cacapon River...including Great Cacapon...Minor flooding is

forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive

cars through flooded areas.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood

deaths occur in vehicles.

The next statement will be issued this morning at 1145 AM EDT.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL TOMORROW EVENING...

* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is

forecast.

* WHERE...Potomac River at Shepherdstown.

* WHEN...Until tomorrow evening.

* IMPACTS...At 24.0 feet, Water begins to cover the parking lot

adjacent to the Shepherdstown boat ramp, and approaches the lowest

point of an adjacent building. Water also reaches the upper

parking area of the boat ramp adjacent to Dam Number Four on the

West Virginia side of the river.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

- At 10:00 AM EDT Thursday the stage was 23.2 feet, or 8.2 feet

above flood stage.

- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours

ending at 10:00 AM EDT Thursday was 23.2 feet.

- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage

early tomorrow afternoon and continue falling to 12.4 feet

Sunday morning.

- Flood stage is 15.0 feet.

- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of

23.0 feet on 06/04/2018.

* IMPACTS...At 23.0 feet, Floodwaters completely cover the comfort

station at the Brunswick boat ramp, and reach the comfort station

at the Point of Rocks boat ramp. The upper parking lot at the

Point of Rocks boat ramp begins to flood.

- At 10:00 AM EDT Thursday the stage was 23.0 feet, or 6.9 feet

ending at 10:00 AM EDT Thursday was 23.0 feet.

- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 23.7

feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage

tomorrow evening.

- Flood stage is 16.0 feet.

* IMPACTS...At 20 feet, the basements of the Edwards Ferry and

Rileys Lockhouse are flooded. Backwater flooding may affect homes

on the Loudoun County side of the river near Broad Run in Sterling.

- At 10:15 AM EDT Thursday the stage was 20.3 feet, or 5.3 feet

ending at 10:15 AM EDT Thursday was 20.3 feet.

- Forecast...The river will rise to 21.0 feet this evening. It

will then fall below flood stage late Saturday morning to

14.7 feet early Saturday afternoon. It will rise to 14.8 feet

early Sunday morning. It will then fall again and remain

below flood stage.

armory site at historic Harpers Ferry. Backwater from the

Shenandoah covers most areas between the normal river channel and

the elevated Winchester & Potomac Railroad tracks.

- At 9:45 AM EDT Thursday the stage was 19.5 feet, or 1.5 feet

ending at 9:45 AM EDT Thursday was 19.6 feet.
