Maxwell Bramble

CHESTERTOWN - Maxwell Bramble, Jr. of Chestertown, MD, died February 28, 2014 in Chestertown Nursing and Rehab, Chestertown, MD. Mr. Bramble was born on September 9, 1925 in Clayton, DE, son of the late Maxwell and Loleta Hill Bramble. He had worked as a farm hand most of his life and for 15 years he worked at Skipjack Cove Marina, retiring in 1988. He loved gardening. He was preceded by a brother James Bramble, a sister Alice Bramble and step-children, Rita Jane Lins and Tim Emore. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, M. Lucille Manley Bramble; 2 children, Brenda J. Short of Warwick, MD, and Richard A. Bramble of Delaware; a step-son, Anthony A. Emore of Millington, MD; 2 brothers, Harvey Bramble of Cecilton and William Bramble of Florida, 3 sisters, Ethel Bramble of Warwick, MD, Mary Lee Moore of Reisterstown, MD, and Hope Schjei of Westminster, MD, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held on Friday, March 7 at 11:30 am in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St. Galena, MD, where friends may call 1 hour prior. Burial in Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery, Hurlock, MD. www.galenafuneralhomeofsls.com
