Mason Finley Seeney Jr.

Seeney, Jr., 81 DOVER - Mason Finley Seeney, Jr. passed away Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013 at Cadia Capitol Nursing Home where he has been a resident for the last 18 months. Mr. Seeney was born June 26, 1931 in Hopewell, N.J. to the late Mason F. Seeney, Sr. and Lydia Hughes Seeney. Over the years he had worked at Slaughter Beverage Co., Frazier Cement and Block Co. and retired from Dover Leasing. Mr. Seeney enjoyed country music, gardening and took pride in the fact he built his own home. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Perry Samuel Seeney; sisters, Leona and Martha Seeney. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Evelyn Joan Seeney; daughter, Linda Goins and her husband Jeff of Fla.; granddaughter, Amy Goins of N.C. who he idolized; twin brother, Walton Seeney; brother, Mortimer Seeney; and sister, Mary Ellen Gonzalez. Graveside services will be held 2 p.m., Friday, Jan. 11, 2013 at Immanuel Union United Methodist Church Cemetery, Cheswold. Letters of condolence may be sent, and guestbook signed at torbertfuneral.com.
