DOVER - Mary S. Berry nee McGrath passed away Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012 at Kent General Hospital, Dover. Mary was born on Nov. 2, 1940 in Philadelphia, Pa., daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Ilnicki) Mort. She worked for GFK Medical Supply until her retirement. She was a passionate and strong woman with vast interests and a love for travel, the outdoors, painting, gardening, home improvement projects, and her Shih Tzus. Mary is survived by her husband of 24 years, William E. Berry; a son, Jason Wainstein (Dana) of West Chester, Pa.; two stepsons, Jeffrey Wainstein of Atlanta, Ga. and Michael Wainstein of Savannah, Ga.; a half-sister, Doreen Melinikoff of Glenside, Pa.; and four grandchildren, Benjamin, Olivia, Jacob and Emilia. A memorial service will be at noon on Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012, at the Faith Community Church, Camden, DE. Burial will be private at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Legion Post, 835 S. Bay Rd., Dover, DE 19901. Letters of condolences can be sent via www.pippinfuneralhome.com
