REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. - Matriarch of the family, Mary R. Cole (Ronnenberg) passed from this life in the comfort of her home on March 12, 2014. She was born in Baltimore, Md., daughter of the late Fred and Mary Jane Ronnenberg of Baltimore, formerly of Woodlawn, Md. Mary was an accomplished needlewoman in many areas including sewing, quilting, crocheting, knitting and even upholstery. Her accomplishments included sewing clothing for all family members including Prom Gowns and a Wedding Gown for her daughter. Every female in the family became heir to a lovely quilt and despite failing eye sight she made small quilts for babies on the sewing machine. Mary was a charter member of the Delmarvelous Quilters. Mary and Ed, her husband of 69 years, were a strong family team; adhering to old fashioned family values to raise their three children. They were involved in scouting, enjoyed camping in a tent as well as out of the back of a station wagon. After spending numerous years at Rehoboth Beach they moved there in 1982. Rehoboth Beach was always a special place. Mary was a member of the Rehoboth Presbyterian Church of Midway. Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Edgar G. Cole, Sr.; grandson, Charles Cole (Chuck); granddaughter, Karen Reevesl great-grandson, Chad Long; and daughter-in-law, Joyce Cole. Surviving to celebrate the life of this wonderful lady are her children, Marlyn (Lynn) Warrington and husband Jake, of Rehoboth Beach, Charles W. Cole and wife Joan, of Jarrettsville, Md., and Edgar G. Cole Jr. of Randallstown, Md.; her grandchildren, Susan Long and husband Chris, of Lewes, Kelly Owens of Jarrettsville, Md., Karole Lynne Wolfe and husband Paul, of Parkton, Md., Laurie Juarez and husband Carlos, of Harbeson, Leslie Trent and husband Michael, of Millsboro and Jennifer Jerrard and husband Peter, of Crossroads, Pa.; great-grandchildren, Stephanie Long, Brandon Bailey-Reeves, Meghan, Shelby and Shane Trent, Deanna and Carly Juarez, Tyler and Emily Wolfe, Evan and Amy Jerrard; great-great-granddaughter, Hayleigh; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Services and burial will be private. The family wishes to thank all the caregivers of Miss Mary which include, Delaware Hospice, Addus Agency, Shore Care, Visiting Angels, and the private CNS's who lovingly prayed and comforted her as she prepared to go "home".
