BRYN MAWR, PA - Mary Lynn Lukens went to Heaven on the evening of Nov. 6, 2012. She was born on April 13, 1926 in Milford, daughter of the late Ret. Rear Admiral John Lockwood and Mary Osmond (Grier) Pratt. Mary Lynn was a devoted mother and talented artist. She was an alumna of Mills College in Oakland, Calif. In her later years, she applied her artistic gifts to ceramics leading to the creation of "Whimsicals", a line of pottery known well on Philadelphia's Main Line. Whimsical also best describes Mary Lynn's playful approach to life. She is survived by her four children, Ann Lynn Rose, Catherine Gayle Simard, James W. Lukens III, William W. Lukens; five grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 26, 2012 at the Christ Episcopal Church, 200 N. Church St, Milford. Interment will be held privately following the services. Condolences may be emailed at www.delmarvaobits.com/rogers Arrangements handled by Rogers Funeral Home, Milford.
