Mary Lillian Baker English, 87

FEDERALSBURG, Md. - Mary Lillian Baker English, 87, of Federalsburg, died on Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2009, at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital, Seaford, Del. Born Oct, 16, 1921, in Mardela Springs, she was the daughter of the late Charles E. Baker and Elizabeth Pollitt Mitchell Baker. After working in a sewing factory and waitressing, she became a beautician and owner of Mary's Beauty Shop for 40 years. She is survived by a son, Howard Charles English of Federalsburg; a daughter, Betty Lou English Staton of Seaford; six grandchildren, Mike English and his wife Linda of Federalsburg; Cathy Warfield and her husband Harold of Cambridge; Richard English and his wife Darlene of Hurlock; Tom Pritchett of Seaford; Tim Pritchett and his wife Janet of Seaford, and Crystal Loggins and her husband Quinn of Nashville, Tenn.; nine great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Lula B. Powell, and Edna E. Washburn; and two brothers, William T. Mitchell, and Paul W. Mitchell. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 11, at the Framptom Funeral Home, P.A., Federalsburg. The Rev. Richard Bridge will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Brookview Cemetery, Brookview. Serving as pallbearers will be Mike English, Richard English, Tom Pritchett, Tim Pritchett, Harold Warfield, and Eugene Pritchett.
