
Schweitzer, 85 DOVER - Mary Florence Schweitzer went to be with her God, Wednesday Aug. 29, 2012, at Kent General Hospital. Mrs. Schweitzer was born September 22, 1926, in Harrington, Del. to the late Arlington Outten and Mary Hall. She had worked for the State of Delaware as a cafeteria worker. Mrs. Schweitzer also was a seamstress, homemaker and Sunday school teacher at Wesley United Methodist Church. She was a very active member within the church. Mrs. Schweitzer was a servant for God and he has now given her the wings she deserves to escape her human body, but to live on throughout another journey in life. She always had a smile on her face and wanted to help others as much as she could. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of many years, William Schweitzer, 1985,; son, Robert Schweitzer; grandson Jonathan R. Cole. She is survived by her daughters, Florence Elaine Winters of Dover, Del., and Kathryn Linda Durham of Dover Del.; grandchildren, Tina M. Reynolds of Texarkana, Ark., Christine of Wisconsin, Tori, Clarence, Joshua, Brandy, Heather, and Whitney Durham of Dover, Del. and Dawn Chaffee of Dover, Del. She had 21 plus great- grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 1pm, Thursday, Sept. 6, 2012, at Torbert Funeral Chapel, 61 S. Bradford Street, Dover.
