DOVER - Mary Fisher, 84, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2011, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital. She was born on Jan. 1, 1927, in Camden, daughter of the late Edward and Rotha (Purnell) Caldwell. She was a member of Zion AME Church, Camden, most of her life. At her time of passing she was a member of First Pilgrim Baptist Church, Camden. Mary enjoyed sewing, seek and find puzzles, gardening, and cooking for family and friends and seeing them enjoy that she had prepared for them. She was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Fisher Sr. Mary is survived by two sons, William Jr. (Michelle) of Dover, and Charles of Wyoming; one daughter, Clara (Frederick) Purnell of New Castle; ten grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m., Monday, Feb. 14, 2011, at First Pilgrim Baptist Church, 16 Miles Lane, Camden. Service will follow at 11 a.m. Burial will be private.
