Mary Elizabeth Price

FELTON - Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Price passed away on Friday, Oct. 2, 2015 at Bayhealth - Kent General Hospital. She was born in Felton to the late John and Elva (Kelly) Schmick. Mrs. Price was a homemaker and a very avid reader. Her joy was taking care of her family and spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved going camping with her husband and doing seek and find puzzles. Mrs. Price had a great passion for helping others. She had a servants heart and was always taking care of others and doing whatever needed to be done to make them feel better. She was a loving individual always putting family and others first. Although she was petite in size, she was fiesty and a little spitfire. Her caring and gentle nature will forever be missed. Mrs. Price was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church in Harrington since 2002. She was also a past member of the Felton Untied Methodist Church. She is preceded in by her husband Edward J. Price, a son, John Price, and her sister Dorothy Dill-Jester. She is survived by her sons, Howard L. (Barbara) Price of Dover, Jay G. (Dee) Price of Felton; grandchildren, Dawn (Parry) Melvin of Harrington, Spencer (Linda) Price of Dover, Kristi (James) Rinkenberg of Felton, Jimmy (Kristinn) Price of Brooklyn, N.Y., Katie (W'shua) Goldsberry of Henderson, Md., Marty Price of Boston, Mass., Thomas Price of Felton, Sammy Price of Felton; great-grandchildren, Trevor, Ella, Megan, Cole, Caleb, Dixie, William, Anna, and Baby Boy Goldsberry (due any day now). A celebration of her life service will be Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2015, at 1 p.m., at the Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South Dupont Hwy,. Harrington. A visitation for family and friends will take place one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Barratts Chapel Cemetery, Frederica. Arrangements are by the Thomas E.
