Mary Elisabeth Copeland

Copeland, 96 DOVER - Mary Elisabeth Copeland passed away Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2012 in Capital Nursing Home. She was born on April 26, 1916 in Clinton, Pa., daughter of the late Henry and Elma (Schooley) Zufall. Mary was an ordained minister in the Wesleyan Church and also pastored with her late husband the Rev. William J. Copeland, Sr. Besides her parents and husband she is preceded in death by her sister Merinda Duke; her brother Harry Zufall and; several nieces and nephews. She is survived by her daughter Marian Copeland of Dover; her son, Rev. Dr. W. Joel Copeland, Jr.; and his wife, Brenda of Myerstown, Pa.; granddaughter Carol Shank and her husband Matthew of Camp Hill, Pa.; a grandson, William J. Copeland, III of Haverford, Pa.; a great-granddaughter, Hannah Shank; and several nieces and nephews. Service will be held at 11 am Friday, Oct. 19, 2012 at the Trinity Wesleyan Church, 1564 S. State St., Dover, where friends may gather one hour earlier. Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012 at Mount Royal Memorial Park, Glenshaw, Pa. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Trinity Wesleyan Church, Building Fund, 1564 S. State St., Dover, DE 19901. Letters of condolences can be sent via www.pippinfuneralhome.com
