DOVER - Mary D. Horn died Feb. 4, 2013 at Bay Health Medical in Dover. Born in Columbia, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Theresa Voegyl Drasch. She had moved to Dover with her husband, the late William P. Horn in 1951 and had served as the office manager for the Mid-Del Chapter of the DARC a poisiton she held for over 35 years. Upon her retirement she had remained active with the DARC and was a past member of the Board of Directors. Mary was active in the Dover community as she had served on numerous committees as a member of the Dover Century Club. She had been a member of the Maple Dale Country Club where she was involved with the Bridge Club. Other activities throughout the years included; The Newcomers Club, The Society of Red Hats and the Junior Board of Kent General Hospital. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sister, Norma Martin; and brother, Joseph Drasch. Mary leaves her six children and their spouses, Kathleen and husband R. Christopher Spicer of Haddonfield, N.J., Sandra Hitchens of Wilm. Del., Christine and husband Alexander Jiacco of Wilm., Del., Michael and wife Gloria Horn of Dover, J. Scott and wife Joann Horn of Vorhees, N.J., and Jeffrey Horn of Dover; her loving grandchildren, Steven, Brian, Francesca, Nicholas, Alex and Eric; along with her great-grandchildren, Paige and Nathan Horn and Chelsea Haggerty; and sisters, Anna Spence and Rose Musser. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 631 S. State St. Dover, DE. Interment will be in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery located in Bear, DE. Family suggests donations in her memory to ARC of Delaware 2 S. Augustine St. Suite B - Wilmington, DE 19804.
