Mary C. Orem, 85

PRICE, MD - Mary C. Orem, died Saturday, Oct. 25, 2008. in Chestertown Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Chestertown. She was 85. Ms. Orem was born on May 9, 1923 in Baltimore, daughter of the late Lawrence J. and Mary Myrtle Wilhide Dorsey. She moved to Price in 1948. She began her career with the Queen Anne's Dept. of Education as a bus driver, and in 1966 accepted the position as office clerk at Sudlersville Middle School, retiring in 1996. She was a member of St. Dennis Roman Catholic Church. Ms. Orem is survived by two children, Robert J. Orem, and Mary Claire Voigt, both of Hawaii; three granddaughters; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Joseph Dorsey of Glen Burnie, Md.; and her sister and brother-in-law, who cared for her, Ann and Robert Campbell, of Sudlersville, Md. Friends may call from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Friday in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St., Galena. Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11 a.m. in St. Dennis Church, 153 N. Main St., Galena. Burial in Galena Cemetery.
