HARRINGTON - Mary Ann Wilson passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012 at home surrounded by her family. Mary Ann was born in Harrington, the daughter of the late Abner and Catherine (Short) Hickman. She worked as a Laboratory Technician at Milford Memorial Hospital (now Bayhealth) for 36 years before retiring in 1996. Mary Ann enjoyed cooking, flower arranging and decorating her home. Her family was everything to her and she loved spending time with them. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald R. Wilson in 2000. At the time of her death, she was survived by two sons, Donald Vaughn Wilson of Dover (who recently passed on Dec. 14, 2012) and Michael Alex Wilson, Sr. of Harrington; she was also survived by a daughter, Heidi Wilson Watkins and her husband, Bobby and their two children, also of Harrington; a sister, Roselle Townsend and her husband Dr. Charles Townsend, of Springfield, Ohio; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren; and her best friend and companion, Donald W. Vane of Seaford. Memorial services arranged by McKnatt, Carpenter & Baker Funeral Home will be held at noon on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, at Asbury United Methodist Church in Harrington. Burial will be in Hollywood Cemetery, Milford - Harrington Highway, Harrington. Family and friends are welcome to gather at the Farmington Fire Hall after the burial service.
