HARRINGTON - Mary Ann Daily (Wildonger) died Dec. 23, 2014. Born and raised in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Helen E. Wharton (Wildonger) and step-daughter of the late Edward J. (Shorty) Wharton. Mary Ann was the beloved partner of Robert Daily, mother of John Daily Jr., Thomas Daily, Barbara Dolt (Daniel) and Tricia Simon, all currently of Delaware. She was the devoted grandmother to Harry, Patrick, Alyssa, Mary, Shannon, Melissa and Noah and is also survived by her two brothers, Edward Wharton (Cherylann) and Thomas Wharton (Kathleen). Mary Ann was also the treasured aunt of David Wharton (Kimberly) and many nieces and nephews and their families in the Daily/Bevan family. Mary Ann was long time coordinator (retired) for the School District of Philadelphia's school lunch program, proudly working with the Maramont Corporation and the former Freshie Food Company. Mary Ann will be remembered for her sense of humor and welcoming and giving personality. She found such joy in her role as Grammy/Mimi and in her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed but lovingly remembered by many. Memorial service will be held, Saturday, Jan. 31, 2015, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon, in Burns Funeral Home, 9708 Frankford Ave., Philadelphia, Pa.
