DOVER - Very Quietly and Peacefully on August 10, 2014, Our Almighty God, in his infinite wisdom, gently closed the eyes of our beloved MARVIN LEE FRANCIS. Marvin Lee Francis, son of the late Phillip Francis and Clara Jean Francis, was born on Sept. 2, 1937 in Deep Creek, Va. Marvin attended High School at I. C. Norcum in Portsmouth, Virginia. After graduating in 1956, he served in the United States Air Force for 23 years. Marvin had 23 years of continuous service in the Air Force with work experience in fabric and leather works an Air Cargo services when he retired in 1977 with the rank of Master Sergeant (E7). In Addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Roy Francis and two sons, Marcus Wayne Francis and Ronald Jay Francis. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 39 years, Anita Louise Francis of Dover, Del.; two sons, Carlton Francis of Smyrna, Del. and Phillip Francis of Dover, Del.; a brother, Lavame (Lee) Francis of Camden, Del.; a sister, Diane Hollins, of Landover, Md.,; two grandsons; Joshua White of Norfolk, Va. and DaShawn Francis of Viola, Del.; five granddaughters, Kesha Francis of Toledo, Ohio; Symone Francis, Faith Francis, Layla Francis, Elani Francis of Dover, Del. and Anisa Maldanado of Clayton, Del.; Brother-In-Law, Bobby Smith (Yolanda) of San Antonio, Texas; Sister-In-Law, Juanita Smith of Houston, Texas; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives and special friends. Viewing will be Sunday Aug. 17, 2014 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. At Whatcoat United Methodist Church, Dover, Del. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday August 18,2014 with a viewing from 9 a.m. to11 a.m. At Whatcoat United Methodist Church, Dover, Del. Burial Will be at the Delaware Veterans Cemetery, Bear, Delaware on Tuesday August19, 2014. Arrangements by Bennie Smith Funeral Home, Dover, Del
