DOVER - Marie Jane Case died on May 23, 2014. She was 94. She was born in Salisbury, Pa., to parents Ira and Barbara Hinebaugh and moved to Delaware as a child where she lived the remainder of her life. She graduated Caesar Rodney High School in 1937. She began working with the International Laytex Company in Dover and later worked for the Coca Cola Bottling Company from where she retired after a long career as a bookkeeper. She is preceded in death by her husband, John W. Case, Sr.; son, John W. Case, Jr.; and sister, Catherine Smith. She is survived by her son, Steve and his wife Sarah; and grandsons, Patrick and Michael Case; daughter-in-law, Deborah Marsh Case; and grandchildren, John, Robert, and William Case and Sarah Lasher; granddaughter, Debra Case Walters; sister, Gwen Harris; brother, Clyde "Bud" Hinebaugh; eight great-grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephews. Marie was lovingly attended by a wonderful team of caregivers for whom the family is ever grateful. She was blessed to have their companionship and assistance which allowed her to maintain the quality of life she desired. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 31, 2014 at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden, DE. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to St. John's Lutheran Church in Dover or DE Hospice Center in Milford.
