Marian E. Pearson, 89

HARRINGTON - Marian E. Pearson, of Harrington, passed away Saturday, Sept. 20, 2008, at home. She was 89. She was born in Highland, Mich., daughter of the late George E. and Millie V. Lemmon. She was a member of the Harrington Senior Center and a former member of the Harrington Moose Lodge. She retired from Ace Dress Co. as a seamstress. Marian loved to travel, enjoyed going camping, and was an avid reader. In her spare time she loved to crochet. Her dog, Tippy, was her constant companion. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Nathan Pearson; daughters, Barbara Pearson, Pam Pearson, Ellen Brocklehurst and Faye Lyons; and sisters, Pearl Teed, May Williamson and Edna Widdoss. She is survived by a son, Charles E. Pearson of Felton; a daughter, Joyce A. Lake of Harrington; her sisters, Flora J. Kibler of Newark and Grace E. Rash of Harrington; eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. Funeral services were in Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 S. Dupont Highway, Harrington. Burial will be in Hollywood Cemetery.
