Vincent 'Beebe', 74 FELTON - Marian A. Vincent 'Beebe', went home to be with the Lord on Oct. 3, 2012, surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer, at the Delaware Hospice Center. She was born on March 11, 1938, in Bridgeville, Del., the daughter of the late John Howard and Seretha Beebe. Marian graduated from Caesar Rodney High School, class of 1956. She married her sweetheart later the same year, and became a military wife/mother after her husbands deployment. She was always a mother first, and her children were her life. Being a military family was not all so bad, as it allowed them to travel all over the world and visit many places, including Germany, Sweden, Holland, France, Spain, Switzerland, Austria to name just a few. She enjoyed travelling very much. She retired from the Lake Forest School District with 23 years of service as a Child Nutrition Specialist. Marian loved to cook and bake as much as possible. She always hosted holiday meals at her home, and she loved to help with church suppers. She also enjoyed puzzle books, watching NASCAR races, and rooting for the #24 car, watching game shows, and visiting the casinos. She will be remembered as a hard working wife, mother, and grandmother who always had a smile on her face, and never complained about anything, even during her illness. She will be sadly missed. Marian was a longtime standing member of the Trinity United Methodist Church of Frederica. Marian is preceded in death by her sisters, Barbara Townsend and Mildred "Prissy" Warren . She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, William M. Vincent Sr. of Felton; her daughters and their spouses, Terry and Jack Tillery of Oklahoma City, Okla. and Sharon and Paul Spencer of Frederica; her son and spouse, William M. and Joelle Vincent Jr. of Felton; brothers, Frank Beebe of Frederica, Johnny Beebe of Dover, Dennis Beebe of Harrington; five grandchildren; and three great- granddaughters. A service will be held Monday, Oct. 8, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy., Harrington. Friends and family are invited to visit Sunday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. Interment will be at Barratts Chapel Cemetery, Frederica.
