Margaret Thompson Marshall POQUOSON, Va. - Margaret Thompson Marshall, 84, a native of Savannah, Ga., and resident of Poquoson for 33 years, passed away at home Friday, Nov. 13, 2009. She was a member of Tabernacle United Methodist Church, Poquoson. Margaret will be loved and forever remembered as a beloved wife, mother, and most of all, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mrs. Marshall was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Ralph T. Marshall; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Marion J. Thompson; and two sisters, Mary Dukes and Marian Anderson. She is survived by a son, John G. Marshall and wife, Vivian P.; a daughter, Mary Marshall Saulman and husband, Ronald E.; five grandchildren, Andrea Liverman and husband, Todd, Billy Saulman and wife, Jennifer, Marcie Evans and husband, Chris, Daniel Marshall and Meredith Holland, and Brian Saulman and Mary Havens; and seven great-grandchildren. The family received friends Monday at Tabernacle United Methodist Church, immediately followed by a funeral service in the church sanctuary by Rev. Dr. Bill Wash. Burial followed at Veterans Memorial Gardens, Hampton. Memorial contributions may be made to Tabernacle United Methodist Church, 831 Poquoson Avenue, or Poquoson Rescue Squad, 830 Poquoson Avenue, both of Poquoson, VA 23662; or Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters, 601 Children's Lane, Norfolk, VA 23507.
