SMYRNA - Margaret E. Gardley, born in Smyrna on March 12, 1941, was called to reunite with our Lord on Sept. 22, 2013 surrounded by her loving family. Margaret graduated from Delaware State College on May 31, 1965, with a Bachelor Degree in Business Education. She also served for many years as the director of Kencrest Services for the entire State of Delaware. Margaret leaves to cherish her memories three children, Teresa Hayes (Rev. Norman), Jeffery Chandler (Tinita) and John Gardley; eight siblings, Ernest Chandler, Jr. (Rachel), Richard Chandler, Calvin Chandler (Bernadette), Connie Saunders, Franklin Chandler, Sr. (Joyce), Ellis Chandler, Sr. (Brenda), Sabena Washington, and Donald Ryder (Marcia); eleven grandchildren, Deron, Tyan, Ashley, Michel'le, Bryianna, Jamere, Jontae, Jhahki, Trey, Pashence, and Jaquan; nine great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends. A wake will be held, Friday, Sept. 27, 2013 from 6 to 9 p.m., at Centennial United Methodist Church, 44 E. Mount Vernon St., Smyrna, DE. Margaret's Celebration of Life will be held 1 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013, at Asbury United Methodist Church, 20-24 W. Mount Vernon St., Smyrna, DE. A Viewing will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with formal home going services to follow. Interment 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 30, 2013 at Delaware Veterans' Memorial Cemetery. Evan W.
