MILFORD - Marcellus T. Myers "Nert", 62 of Milford, formerly of Woodbury, N.J., passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Deptford, N.J. one of 13 children, the son of the late Robert Clements and Emma Waters. Six siblings preceded him in death, Florence, Clarence, Rose, Lawrence, Samuel and James. He served in the US Air Force and worked for Civil Service for the US Army and Air Force as a truck driver. He loved the Lord and served his church, the First Baptist Church of Milford, teaching young boys in the 5th and 6th grades. Nert enjoyed fishing and especially loved spending time with family. He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Lynn E.A. Myers; three children, Tosha Williams, Claudette Martin-Wus (Stephen Wus, Jr.) Desiree R. Myers; siblings, Lynn (Wayne) of Lawndale, N.J., Odess (Moo), of Deptford, N.J., Dora of Garner, N.C., Leona (Winston) of Mantua, N.J., Terry of Neptune N.J., and Deborah of Manalapan, N.J. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Celina, Kiauna, Jeremy, Mykel and Jamil; as well as a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 12 p.m., Monday, October, 12, 2015 at the First Baptist Church, 6062 Old Shawnee Road, Milford, Delaware 19963, where friends may call from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. for a viewing. Interment and Full Military honors will be at Delaware Veterans Cemetery, Millsboro. Arrangements handled by Berry-Short Funeral Home, Milford. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 111 S. Independence Mall East, Suite 411, Philadelphia, PA 19106. DE-Marcellus-Myers.jpg
