NEW CASTLE - Marbia Jean Powers passed away Sunday Jan. 27, 2013 at her home with her family. She was born on June 29, 1930 in Heaters, W.Va. to the late Garl and Bessie Osboune Prince. Mrs. Powers was a nurse and a stay at home mom. She enjoyed going on vacation, shopping and family time. She is preceded in death by children, Linda Ashworth; Frank Powers III; and her sister Naomi Maine. She is survived by her husband of over 50 years, Frank Powers of New Castle, Del.; daughter, Jean Patterson of Lincoln, Del.; daughter, Frances Doherthy of Harrington, Del.; daughter, Mary Hibbitts of New Castle, Del.; brother, Gilbert Prince of Willow Grove, Del.; grandchildren, Theresa D'Andrea, Christa Patterson, Tabitha Ashworth, Joey Ashworth, Thomas Bradley, Douglas Doherty, Jr., Douglas Hibbitts, Tish Hibbitts; 13, great-grand children. Remembrance Services will be held Friday Feb. 1, 2013 at 1 p.m at Trader Funeral Home in Dover, Del. Burial will be at the Mt. Olive Cemetery Santown, Del.
