FELTON — Delaware State Police are investigating a 48-year-old man’s death, which has been deemed suspicious, authorities said Monday.
According to police spokesman Master Cpl. Gary Fournier, troopers were dispatched to the 1000 block of Cabin Ridge Road west of Felton at approximately 10:45 p.m. on Sunday. The man who lives there had not been heard from since the previous day, and a friend had called police out of concern.
Once inside the home troopers discovered a deceased man with apparent gunshot wounds to the upper torso.
The Delaware Division of Forensic Science took the body and is expected to conduct an autopsy in the next few days.
Police are currently conducting an investigation and more information will be released when available.
