CAMDEN — A 24-year-old Magnolia woman was charged with attempted robbery following an incident at Dunkin’ Donuts on Monday, Camden Police Chief Marcus Whitney said.
Shabria F. Spears allegedly produced a firearm while verbally threatening employees if not given money from the cash register at approximately 2:54 p.m., authorities said. She then fled, police said, and entered a vehicle that traveled onto southbound on Walmart Drive.
According to authorities, a Camden police officer located the vehicle as it pulled onto U.S. 13. A multi-vehicle crash ensued, police said, and the vehicle Ms. Spears occupied became disabled. She was taken into custody after a short foot pursuit, police said.
Ms. Spears was also charged with wearing a disguise during the commission of a felony, terroristic threatening, resisting arrest and traffic charges. She was held in custody at Sussex Correctional Institution on a $29,000 secured bond.
