Mabel L. Tilghman

SALISBURY - Mabel Luffman Tilghman died Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2017, at Lakeside Assisted Living. Born in Roaring River, N.C., she was the daughter of the late William Clarence Luffman and Della Mae Waddell Luffman.
She was a member of the Eastern Shore Shrine Angels and attended St. Andrews United Methodist Church and Calvary Baptist Tabernacle. She was a former Lab Technician at Peninsula Regional Medical Center and a Nursing Assistant for Drs. Hill and Bulkeley.
She is survived by two sons, Michael Bryan Tilghman of Palm Coast, Fla., and David Alan Tilghman of Princess Anne; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Howard W. Tilghman; a sister, Charlotte Outten; and two brothers, Wallace and Grady Luffman.
A funeral service was held Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2018, at Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury. Interment followed at Wicomico Memorial Park in Salisbury.
