DOVER - Lynne G. McIntosh died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012 at Bayhealth Kent General Hospital, Dover, Del. Mrs. McIntosh was born in Philadelphia, Pa. to the late Joseph and Helen Gummell Godfrey. She was a graduate of Penn State University and received her Master's in Special Education from Temple University. She was the Director of the Early Childhood Lab School Program at Polytech High School for 8 years. Mrs. McIntosh was Polytechs 2004 – 2005 teacher of the year. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, an advocate for Juvenile Diabetes Research, and a fan of both Penn St. and N.C. Tar Heels Sports. Mrs. McIntosh is survived by her husband of 37 years, Bill McIntosh; her son, Dan L. McIntosh of Dover; her daughter, Colleen N. McIntosh of Felton; her brother, William T. Godfrey and his wife Mary of Warminster, Pa. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 8, 2012 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 630 S. State St, Dover, Delaware 19901. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Torbert Funeral Chapel, South, 1145 E. Lebanon Rd (Rt.10), Dover DE 19901. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Dover. In Lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the National Dysautonomia Research Foundation at NDRF, PO Box 301, Redwing, MN 55066-0301. Please indicate gift is to support Multiple System Atrophy Research. Letters of condolence may be sent, and guestbook signed at torbertfuneral.com.
