Lynda Mary Baltzer

Gallilee, Pa. - Lynda Mary Baltzer died Fri., May 22, 2015 at her home after a long illness. She is survived by her husband Robert C. Baltzer. Born in Carbondale, Pa., daughter of the late Nelson and Audrey Cutforth Jennings, she had worked for the State of Delaware as a Management Analyst for Child Watch. Lynda graduated from Honesdale High School in 1965 and from Marywood University. She attended the Dover Presbyterian Church. Her interests included cooking, baking, shopping, and traveling, especially to England. For over 10 years she was a volunteer tax preparer for Nehemiah Gateway. She is also survived by two daughters, Beth Emerson and Joanna Rieger; a step-daughter, Kait Midgett; a step-son and his wife, Robert C. and Sylvia Baltzer, Jr.; a brother, Dennis and his wife, Kay Jennings; a granddaughter, Crystal Ann Emerson; two step-grandsons, Oliver Baltzer and Levi Midget; a step-granddaughter, Wesley Midgett; nephew, Tommy Jennings; nieces, Jill Boudreaux and Sarah Jennings; numerous cousins; two special friends, Bill and Brenda Hector; and her faithful companion, "Rowdy". A graveside service will be held in Gallilee, Pa on Fri., May 29, 2015 at 12 Noon. A memorial Service will take place at 12 Noon on Jun. 1, 2015 at the Gazebo at the Helen F. Gram Cancer Center. In lieu of flowers Lynda asked that donations be made to Companionate Care Hospice and the Helen F. Graham Cancer Center in Christiana in her honor.
