Lucille J. Brittingham

LAUREL - Lucille J. Brittingham, passed away on Nov. 15, 2012 at the Seaford Center. Lucille was born in East New Market, Md. a daughter of the late Carl and Alvina Jackson. She was a wonderful cook, homemaker, and an avid animal lover. She especially loved her cats and watching martins and deer. She also enjoyed going to flea markets, auctions and spending time in her garden. Mrs. Brittingham is survived by her husband of 54 years Donald L. Brittingham of Laurel; her sisters, Laura J. Thompson and Dorothea Dukes both of East New Market; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents her siblings, Edward and Leonard Jackson preceded her in death; along with two brother in laws, Edward Thompson and Thomas Dukes. A Funeral Service was held at the Hannigan, Short, Disharoon Funeral Home Laurel, Del. on Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012 at 2 p.m. The Rev. Karen Handy officiated. Interment followed in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
