MILFORD - Louise M. Gill, 71, passed away on Monday, Jan. 15, 2018 at home.
Louise was born in Felton, the daughter of the late Charles and Sarah (Roland) Farrow.
In 1963 she became the first Miss Felton. She graduated from Goldey-Beacom College in 1966. She was a Charter Member of the Ladies Auxiliary for South Bowers Fire Hall.
Louise was the Director for Medical Records at Kent General Hospital for 11 years until she began what would be a 37-year career as secretary for her husband's business, Gill Electric.
She loved painting and found great joy in passing on those skills to a small group of women she taught every week at her home. She entered numerous items in the Delaware State Fair where she placed first for many of her paintings.
She attended Crossroad Community Church in Georgetown and is known by many for her love of the Lord Jesus.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Farrow; sister, Hazel Anderson; and daughter-in-law, Kelly A. (Tyrrell) Gill.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Robert A. "Bob" Gill; children, Robert A. "Rob" Gill, II and Alisha McManus and husband Jack; siblings, Lowell Farrow and wife Edith of Felton, Mary Anne Lowe of Coco, Fla., and Rosetta Hunnicutt of Parks, Ark.; three grandchildren, Ryan Gill, Jordan McManus and Kylee Gill; and many nieces and nephews. She loved them all.
In lieu of flowers donations can be sent to Crossroad Community Church, 20684 State Forest Rd., Georgetown, DE 19947 or Vitas Hospice, 30265 Commerce Dr., Suite 202/203, Millsboro, DE 19966.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Jan. 20, 2018 at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 NW Front Street, Milford, where friends may call after 11 a.m. Interment will be in Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington.
