SMYRNA - Louise E. Bibbins Johnson, born June 6, 1947, to Frederick S. and Mabel Bibbins of Smyrna, departed this life Sunday, Sept. 25, 2011. Louise received her education from the public school system of Delaware. She retired from her employment as a nursing assistant for the State of Delaware Hospital for the Chronically Ill in 1984. Louise was a member of St. Paul UAME Church in Smyrna, since childhood. Louise enjoyed working in the church on the kitchen committee, stewardess board, and organizing yearly Sunday school activities until her health began to fail. Louise leaves to mourn her husband of 42 years, James E. Johnson; two sons, Kevin Bibbins Johnson (Marvaleuel) and James E. Johnson, Jr. (Rhonda); daughter, Cassandra Johnson (Anthony Bordley); seven grandchildren, Janai, Jasmine, James E. Johnson, III, Jordon, Julian, Jared and Justin; one great-grandchild, Joseph Johnson; two sisters, Margaret Bibbins and Mary Bibbins; one brother, Richard Bibbins; two aunts, Ethal Lewis of Atlantic, N.J.; and Sereatha Combs of Millville, NJ; two brothers-in-law, David Johnson (Viola) and William Johnson (Patricia); her special nephew, Steffone Campbell; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Special mention to her dearest friends, Jeanie Hammond, Ireane Bibbins and Mary Johnson. She was preceded in death by one sister, Anna Ferrish and one brother, Earnest Bibbins. Funeral service will be noon, Saturday, Oct. 1, 2011, at St. Paul UAME Church, 141 S. East Street, Smyrna, with a viewing one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Odd Fellows, Smyrna.
