CAMBRIDGE - Louise B. Jewell, 92, died on Monday, Dec. 17, 2007 where she had been a resident of Chesapeake Woods since November 2005. Prior to this she resided in her home with her daughter and her constant companion her beloved dog Kino.

Born on Dec. 12, 1915 in Robbins, Dorchester County, she was the daughter of Jessie Bramble and Aletin Tall Bramble.

On July 17, 1937, she married S. Price Jewell. Mr. Jewell died April 14, 1997.

Mrs. Jewell worked most of her adult life and in the later years was employed by Dr.'s Lawrence and Alfred R. Maryanov in their office until her retirement.

She enjoyed working in her flower gardens, spending time with her family and dog, and especially taking road trips with her sister, Doris.

Surviving is her daughter, Betty J. Baker of Cambridge who lived with and took care of her after the death of her husband, numerous nieces and nephews and a brother-in-law, Arthur Smith of Cambridge.

Preceding her in death, besides her parents and husband, was a daughter, Gail F. Jewell; three sisters, Nellie Sann, Imogene Paul, Doris Smith; eight brothers, John Bramble, Jessie Bramble Jr., Emmitt Bramble, Clifford Bramble, Charles Bramble, Harold Bramble, Gerald Bramble and an infant brother, Myer Lewis Bramble.

Graveside services will be held at Dorchester Memorial Park at 11 a.m. today with the Rev. Delmer Willey officiating. There will be no pallbearers.

Expressions of sympathy may be made by sending flowers or making a memorial donation in Mrs. Jewell's memory to the Cambridge Rescue Fire Company, P.O. Box 364, Cambridge, MD 21613.
