MILLSBORO - Louis R. Garver, of Coatesville, Pa. died on Sunday, Oct. 21, 2012 at the Neighborhood Hospice Inpatient Unit, West Chester, Pa. He was the husband of Norma Lee Carey Garver with whom he shared fifty years of marriage. He was born in Philadelphia, son of the late Joseph L. and Mary Thompson Garver. Lou was raised in the Coatesville area. From an early age Lou pursued his love of horses and was a competitive equestrian jumper. Lou retired from Lukens Steel Company in 1995 with 41 years of service. After his retirement he and his wife Norma moved to Millsboro, Del., where he enjoyed 16 years until moving back to Coatesville to be closer to his family. Lou was a long time member of Coatesville Moose Lodge #297 and a life member of The West End Fire Co. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children, Paul and his wife Annette, Bart, and Hope Sweigert and her husband Jerry; two grandchildren, Lucas and Danielle; and two brothers, Larry and Samuel. Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Lou's Life on Friday, Oct. 26, 2012 from noon until 3 p.m. at the Coatesville Moose 1910 Ballroom, 1200 Airport Road, Coatesville, PA.
