Louis Helish

CAMDEN - Louis Helish (Lutz Helischkowski) died on Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013 at the Pinnacle Nursing Home in Smyrna, Del. He was born in Berlin Germany on Feb. 9, 1931 to Alex and Herta Helischkowski. Louis was a survivor of the Auschwitz concentration camp, and proudly served in the U.S. Army for 20 years. He is survived by his wife, Genevieve (Jeanne) Helish; his eight children; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A viewing for Louis will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Pippin Funeral Home in Wyoming, DE; services will begin at noon, and burial will take place at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Millsboro, DE at 2 p.m.
