Lorraine B. Pater

REHOBOTH BEACH - Lorraine B. Pater, of Whittier Lane, Lancaster, Pa., died on Sat., Sept. 15, 2012 at her residence. Born in Chester, Pa., she was the wife of the late William A. Pater, who died in May of 1987, and the daughter of the late Walter and Victoria Jakubowski. Lorraine was of the Protestant faith and, being a homemaker, enjoyed crocheting and reading, but most of all making life easier for her family and others. Lorraine is survived by two children, William A. Pater, Jr., husband of Linda Ellis of Punta Gorda, Fla., and Janet C. Degler of Lancaster, Pa; two grandchildren, Matthew, husband of Rachel Pater, N.J., and Joanna, wife of Adam Haeberle, Moorpark Calif.; four great-grandchildren, Jackson and Maxwell Haeberle, Zachary and Alex Pater; her care was provided by her buddy, Elsie Cruz. In addition to her husband and parents, Lorraine was preceded in death by five sisters and one brother. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Lorraine's Life Celebration Graveside Service from Glenwood Memorial Gardens, 2321 West Chester Pike, Broomall, PA on Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Lorraine's memory to any organization in support of wounded veterans.
