CAMBRIDGE - Loretta A. Wroten, 72 0f Cambridge, passed away on March 8, 2008. She was born at Fishing Creek on July 17, 1935 and was a daughter of Ruby Travers and the late Thomas H. Travers.

She attended schools in South Dorchester. On April 16, 1954 she was married to David S. Wroten. Some years ago she had worked at Airpax in Cambridge, but for most of her life she had worked as a seafood worker at the Parks Seafood Co. on Hoopers Island. Mrs. Wroten was a member of the Denton Wesleyan Church and enjoyed Wroten enjoyed decorating and traveling. Mrs. Wroten had been in failing health for the past year when she passed away on Saturday morning.

Survivors include her husband, two sons - Thomas Lee Wroten and his wife Becky Wroten of Denton, the Rev. D. Larry Wroten and his wife Connie Wroten of Denton - four grandchildren, Brian Wroten, Abbey Wroten, Chris Wroten and Kara Wroten and her mother, Ruby Travers of Cambridge. She is also survived by five sisters Frieda Johnson, Barbara Matthews, Diane Towers, Nancy Stafford and Joan Dukes and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Thomas Funeral Home in Cambridge with the Rev. D. Larry Wroten officiating. Interment will follow at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery. The family will receive friends during the hour preceding the service.
