MILFORD - Lois Ruth Benson passed away Fri., Mar. 20th, 2015 at Harrison Senior Living. She was born in Trappe, MD, on Dec. 23, 1925, daughter of the late Edwin and Ruth (Miller) Sullivan. Mrs. Benson was a member of the Independent Bible Fellowship Church in Harrington. She was an avid reader, enjoyed doing housework, playing the piano,and flower gardening. She also took the time to visit several nursing homes where she assisted with bible study and played the piano for the residents. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Benson is preceded in death by her first husband, James Boyce; her second husband, Howard Milby; and two siblings, her brother, Roy Sullivan; and her sister, Evelyn Roth. She is survived by her loving husband, Donald J. Benson; her two children, James Harwin Boyce and his wife Carole of Talladega, Ala., and David Wayne Boyce, Sr. And his wife, Bonnie of Georgetown; her five grandchildren, Angela Funderburk, David Boyce, Bob Armbrester, Cindy Porche, and Alicia Baisch; and four great-grandchildren, Seth Boyce, Josh Funderburk, Ainsley Baisch, and Mera Baisch. A funeral service will be held on Wed., Mar. 25th 2015 in the Milford Chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Homes 119 NW Front St at 1:00 p.m. Friends and Family may call at the funeral home that same day one hour prior to service time.
