Lois A. Masallo

DOVER - Lois A. Masallo, of Bevent, Wis., and formerly of Dover, passed away Friday, April 13, 2012. She was born on Jan. 29, 1932, daughter of the late Ambrose and Christine (Miller) Dougher. Lois was a homemaker. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, embroidering, taking care of her family and being with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick D. Masallo in 2002. Lois is survived by her two daughters, Lois Schoenfeldt (Fred) of Hatley, Wis., and Elissa Prost (Richard) of Pahrump, Nev.; a son, Stephen Masallo of Hartly, a sister, Christine O'Rourke (Mark) of Garden City, N.Y., E.J. Fogarty; a nephew and godchild of Garden City, N.Y.; three grandsons, Brent Schoenfeldt (Kate) of Macungie, Pa., and Nathan Prost and Devin Prost of Pahrump, Nev.; and three granddaughters, Joan Masallo, Hannah Masallo and Emma Masallo, all of Hartly. A gathering will be from 11 a.m. to noon, Monday, April 23, at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming. Graveside service will follow at 1 p.m. in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Rd., Bear. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services Funds, 425 Pine Ridge Blvd., Wausau, Wis.
