Sussex Central High registered six pins as it opened its Henlopen North dual-meet schedule with a decisive 66-6 win over Milford in wrestling on Wedesday night.
Ryder Robinson (215 pounds) won by fall in just 11 seconds for the Golden Knights (8-0), who remained undefeated.
Central’s other pins came from Malachi Stratton (113), Evan Cordrey (126), Andrew Long (144), Jadyn Craig (165) and Gabe Cannon (175). Four of the falls came in the first period.
The Buccaneers’ lone win was a first-period pin from Josue Villarreal Gomez (285)
Caesar Rodney 62, Sussex Tech 12: The Riders picked up six pins — including five in the first period — in taking the Henlopen North decision.
A 56-second pin from Owen Dixon (175) was the fastest for CR. Also winning by fall for the Riders were Nick Moore (120), Trevor Copes (126), Cody Waski (150), Cameron Cataldi (157) and Jalen Kennedy (190).
Smyrna 54, Polytech 15: The Eagles registered four of their seven pins between 106 and 138 pounds as they opened thier dual-meet schedule with a Henlopen North victory.
Winning by fall for Smyrna were Ian Alfree (106), Wyatt Miller (120), Qwantez Watkins (126), Tyree Heath (138), Ricaldo Camacho (157), Kael Howell (190) and Chijioke Eule (285).
The Panthers (1-1 North, 2-1 overall) got a pin from Aiden Durham (165).
Lake Forest 48, Delmar 35: In a bout where all 14 individual matches were decided by pin, the Spartans won eight by fall to take the Henlopen South victory.
DeMarion Russ (113) posted an 11-second pin for Lake Forest, which was wrestling its first dual-match of the season. The Spartans’ other falls came from Jermaine Taylor (132), DeMarcus Russ (138), Case Dempsey (144), Coen Dempsey (150), Nurrideen Ahmad-Statts (157), Cullen Parsell (215) and Matthew Cannon (285).
Logan King (106) had a 23-second pin for the Wildcats, who lost a team point for an unsportsmanlike penalty. Also winning by fall were Jazmon Snead (120), Ryan Goehner (126), Hunter Wright (165), Kane Johnson (175) and Bryce Johnson (190).
Indian River 45, Woodbridge 23: The Indians won the night’s eight final matches in posting the Henlopen South victory.
Richard Wiggins (120), Steven Mayfield (132), Kyree Knight (138), Angel Mora Salas (150) and Jayvion Chandler (165) all won by pin in IR’s match-ending run.
The Blue Raiders, which opened up a 24-3 lead to start the bout, got pins from Khelei Tillman (215) and Parker Short (113).
First State Military 58, Archmere 24: Jarrett Waltz (190) posted a pin in just 31 seconds to highlight the Bulldogs’ Diamond State Conference win.
Also winning by fall for First State Military (4-1) were Kaleb Williams (126), Michael Atchley (132), Nathaniel Atchley (150), Caden Thomas (157) and Sean Hitchens (215).

Cape Henlopen 59, Smyrna 41: The Vikings improved to 5-2 overall with the Henlopen North win on Tuesday night.
Girls’ basketball
Dover 40, Sussex Central 14: The Senators closed out the Henlopen North win by out-scoring the Golden Knights, 18-5, in the fourth quarter on Tuesday night.
Malya Milstead tallied 12 points for Dover, which evened its record at 3-3.
Laurel 45, Sussex Academy 22: Carlie Venables netted 22 points to pace the Bulldogs to the Henlopen South win on Tuesday.
Laurel finished the contest on a 15-6 run.
