The Golden Knights improved to 3-1 in the district, 8-2 overall after posting their third shutout of the season.
The Riders finish 0-4 in district, 1-9 overall.
Polytech 57, Christiana 12: The Panthers erupted for 29 first-quarter points before picking up the victory on Thursday night. Polytech finishes the season with a record of 3-7.
Seaford 50, Dickinson 8: The Blue Jays finished the regular season with a record 7-3 after posting the win on Thursday.
Lake Forest 48, McKean 14: The Spartans ended the regular season a three-game winning streak to put its overall record at 8-2.
Lake Forest out-scored its opponents, 155-35, during that three-game stretch.
Laurel 42, Delmar 13: The Bulldogs finished the regular season a perfect 10-0 after winning the Lions Club Trophy for the second year in a row.
Defending Class 1A state champion Laurel will take a 13-game winning streak into the state tournament.
Sussex Tech 34, Odessa 12: The Ravens overcame an early 6-0 deficit before finishing the season at 4-6 with the win over the Ducks (5-5).
Mt. Pleasant 28, Milford 14: The Buccaneers were threatening to tie the contest before Anthony Sidberry returned an interception 95 yards for a fourth-quarter touchdown to seal the victory for the Green Knights.
Milford, which finishes the season with a record of 3-7, led 14-7 in the second quarter.
Howard 52, Woodbridge 22: The Wildcats improved to 8-1 while the Blue Raiders ended the season at 2-8 with the loss.
Indian River 62, Early College 28: The Indians posted the Class 1A victory to finish the regular season at 5-5.
College field hockey
North Carolina 5, Delaware 1: The underdog Blue Hens took a 1-0 lead just 18 seconds into the contest but the No. 1 Tar Heels took over after that, pulling away in the first round of the NCAA Division I tournament.
Julia Duffhuis scored off a penalty corner goal on assists by Ashlyn Carr (Delmar) and Berber Bakermans. It was Duffhuis’ 14th goal of the season.
Carr was credited with her team-leading 17th assist, and Bakermans picked up her 14th assist.
North Carolina took its 5-1 lead by halftime. Lizzie Gaebel had a career-high 15 saves for Delaware (10-12).
College basketball
MEN, Air Force 75, Delaware 71: The Blue Hens (1-1) erased a 15-point deficit in the second half but couldn’t take the lead before falling to the Falcons (1-1).
A 21-9 Delaware run over a 5:35 span in the final 10 minutes of the second half knotted the game at 69-69. During the run, Delaware went 9-of-13 from the floor, including 3-of-6 from three-point range.
But Air Force hit a three followed by a free throw to make it a four-point game and the Hens didn’t pull even again.
Jameer Nelson Jr. finished with a team-high 18 points followed by Jyáre Davis (15) and Ebby Asamoah (13). Christian Ray (9 points) posted a game-high 10 rebounds for his second-straight game in double digits.
