Smyrna-Clayton downed M.O.T., 15-7, to stay alive in the District I Senior League baseball tournament on Sunday evening.
Smyrna-Clayton hosts Felton-Harrington today at 7 p.m. in the losers’ bracket finals. The winner takes on Dover on Tuesday night in the district finals.
On Sunday, Smyrna-Clayton was paced by Matt Knight (2-for-4, 1 RBI), Zach Lewis (2-for-2, 3 walks, 1 RBI), Logan Kosky (2-for-3, 2 RBI), Braden Messick (1-for-2, 2 RBI) and Zane Kerr (2-for-2).
Kosky was also the winning pitcher.
American Legion
Patriots split with Post 1: Nanticoke erupted for 11 runs in the fifth inning before downing Post 1, 18-2, in the opener of a doubleheader on Sunday.
Post 1 came back to take the nightcap, 6-4.
In the first game, winning pitcher Jordan Haddaway threw a six-hitter with only two walks. The Patriots collected 16 hits in the victory.
Post 1 used a five-run second inning to take control of the second game.

Camden-Wyoming 7, M.O.T. 1: Winning pitcher Peyton Shields struck out 10 and added two hits, two runs and two RBI at the plate as Camden-Wyoming advanced to the District I finals.
Camden-Wyoming will face either host Smyrna-Clayton or M.O.T. in the championship game on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
Also leading Camden-Wyoming on Sunday were Lauren Dickerson (1 hit, 1 run), Vanessa Gaines (1 hit, 1 run), Julia McConnell (1 hit), Kaitlyn Horton (1 run) and Emma Ford (1 run).
Leading M.O.T. were Isabella Zohlman (1 hit) and Summer Montgomery (1 run).
Smyrna-Clayton 6, Harrington 0: Pitcher Brianna Cobb earned the win as Smyrna-Clayton stayed alive with the shutout win.
Smyrna-Clayton hosts M.O.T. today at 7 p.m. for the right to face Camden-Wyoming in Tuesday’s district finals.
Offensively, Skylar Burdge doubled for Smyrna-Clayton with Anna Huester, Cheyene Silvas, Haley McCutchen and Regan Nacrelli all adding singles.
For Felton-Harrington, Chloe Hurd and Stephanie Stretcher both doubled while Madison Hurd had a single.
