M.O.T. posted a 14-3 win over Camden-Wyoming to capture the Pat Knight Tournament title in District I Little League baseball on Tuesday evening.
Winning pitcher Jacob Sherman threw a five-hitter with five strikeouts for M.O.T., which went 2-0 in the three-team tourney.
Offensively, Tyler Jones and Riley Shipengrover both had three hits and a pair of RBI, Nolan Henry and Joey Trincia had two hits apiece and James Landon drove in two runs.
Dennis Martin went 2-for-2 with an RBI for Camden-Wyoming.

Camden-Wyoming 19, M.O.T. 7: Winning pitcher Alyssa Kennard struck out 10 and had two hits at the plate as Camden-Wyoming won the opener of the District I Tournament on Tuesday.
The two teams will play again today at 6 p.m. in Middletown in the best-of-three series. If M.O.T. wins, a second game will follow.
Also leading Camden-Wyoming were Audrey Carroll (3 hits, 4 RBI), Keria Fendt (2 hits, 2 runs), Maddie Wood (1 hit, 2 RBI, 3 runs), Jayda Mayan (1 hit, 1 run), Allyson McLellan (1 hit, 2 runs) and Kira Brown (1 hit).

M.O.T. 12, Camden-Wyoming 10: M.O.T. edged Camden-Wyoming in the District I Tournament on Tuesday night.
Camden-Wyoming hosts Smyrna-Clayton today at 7 p.m. with the winner facing M.O.T. in Thursday night’s championship game.
Pacing M.O.T. in Tuesday’s victory were Savannah Arnold (2-for-3, 1 RBI, 1 run), Makenna Rose (2-for-2, 2 runs), Sienna Evans (1-for-2, 2 runs, 1 RBI, 1 stolen base), Lexi Dawson (RBI double, 1 run) and Naomi Faletta (2-for-4, 2 RBI). Winning pitcher Samantha Stokes threw a complete game.
Camden-Wyoming was led by Audrey Drucarez (2-for-4, 3 runs), Caitlyn Krass (1-for-4, 3 RBI), Aniah Marsh (2-for-4, 3 RBI, 2 runs) and Sophia Yukal (3-for-4, 2 runs, 1 RBI).
College softball
Five Hornets on all-time MEAC team: Five former Delaware State standouts, including three-time conference player-of-the-year Jordan Reid, have been selected to the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Top 50 All-Time Softball Team.
Reid was voted as the MEAC Softball Player of the Year in 2010, 2011 and 2012, one of just three players in league history to achieve the feat.
Other Hornets on the MEAC Top 50 All-Time Team are Catrina Ansbach (Caesar Rodney), Patty Brown, Nicole Gazzola and Sandy Hawthorne.
Ansbach, the 2005 MEAC Rookie of the Year and two-time All-MEAC first-team selection, is the Hornets’ all-time leader with 44 home runs.
Brown, a two-time All-MEAC first-team pick (2002, ‘03), is second on the Hornets’ career list with 33 home runs and the team’s all-time leader with 20 triples.
Gazzolla holds the MEAC single-season record with 89 hits (2016) and was a three-time All-MEAC first-team selection (2014-16).
Hawthorne was a three-time All-MEAC first-team selection, earning the honor in 2014, 2015 and 2016.
