Laurel High outlasted Indian River, 27-21, in overtime to earn a Henlopen Conference Southern Division football victory on Saturday afternoon.
The win was the third in a row for the Bulldogs (1-0 South, 3-3 overall), who were celebrating homecoming. IR is 1-2 in the South, 1-5 overall.
Bricen Sanders scored the winning touchdown on a 15-yard run for Laurel. The contest was tied 21-21 after the third quarter.

Sussex Tech 1, St. Mark’s 0: John Whealton’s goal in the 21st minute gave the Ravens in the victory.
Goalie Jodi Johnson made 10 saves for Sussex Tech, which held advantages of 13-12 in shots and 7-5 in corner kicks.
Worcester Prep, Md. 3, Delmar 2: Worcester scored in overtime to top the Wildcats in a non-conference game.

MEN, Wesley 3, Old Westbury 1: The different Wolverines scored in the non-conference win.
Justin John-Langba. Luis Cruz and Kaiden Fields all had goals for Wesley (7-4-1).
The Wolverines finished with advantages of 14-7 in shots and 11-3 in corner kicks.
James Madison 3, Delaware 0: The No. 17-ranked Dukes netted a pair of first-half goals in the CAA victory.
The Blue Hens are now 1-2-2 in the CAA, 2-5-3 overall.
WOMEN, John Jay 2, Wesley 1: Kaitlyn Roazzi netted a first-half goal for the Wolverines, as they fell to 6-6.
College field hockey
Marywood 3, Wesley 2: The Wolverines battled back from a 2-0 deficit only to lose the AEC contest in overtime.
Madison Terzaghi and Carly Setting both scored goals for Wesley (1-1 AEC, 8-4 overall).
Marywood (2-0 AEC, 9-2 overall) out-shot Wesley, 12-6 as both teams had five corners. Lauren Berry made four saves for the Wolverines.
