Jamie Chandler and Alayna Gigliotti had multiple hits for the Senators.
Caesar Rodney 20, Early College 0: Vanessa Gaines, who pitched the final four innings, and Peyton Shields combined on a five-inning no-hitter for the Riders.
Madison Fox had a home run and a double for CR.
Red Lion 7, Milford 3: Lauren Dickerson homered for the Buccaneers, who couldn’t hold an early 3-0 lead.
Seaford 12, Sussex Academy 0: Hannah Moore pitched a five-inning two-hitter to earn the shutout for the Blue Jays.
Seaford scored all 12 of its runs in the fourth.
Delmar 3, Newark Charter 2: The Wildcats picked up a nonconference victory.
Stephen Decatur, Md. 4, Delmarva Christian 2: The Royals sent the game to extra innings with a run in the bottom of the seventh before falling short.
Pitcher Lilli Showacre struck out 19 while Lily Fetterman and Lydia Woods had two hits each.
Girls’ soccer
Polytech 6, Sussex Tech 2: Kylee LaVere scored a pair of second-half goals as the Panthers pulled away from a 2-2 halftime tie.
Megan Popp, Julie Coleman, Natalie Marlow and Maria Granitto also had goals for Polytech.
Indian River 6, William Penn 1: Sophia Scurci tallied three goals for the Indians, who led 4-0 at halftime.
IR held advantages of 21-4 in shots and 5-0 in corner kicks.
St. Georges 5, Dover 0: Iyanna Dixon made eight saves for the Senators in the nonconference loss.
Mt. Pleasant 4, First State Military 3: Jordan Wynne scored twice with Kyndall Wyngaard adding the other goal for the Bulldogs in the OT loss.
Sussex Central 10, Glasgow 0: Bayleigh Perdue netted five goals while Kathy Sanchez Garcia had three goals and two assists for the Golden Knights.
Angelina Fernandez had three saves to post the shutout.
Baseball
Delaware Military 13, Sussex Central 10: The Seahawks outscored the Golden Knights, 10-4, over the last three innings to rally for the win.
Starting pitcher Brenden Anderson hit a three-run home run in the first inning for Central (6-1), in the game played at Wilmington University.
Sussex Academy 19, Great Oaks 0: Luke Pietschmann and Emerson Layton both had three hits as the Seahawks finished with 19 in the game.
Whitman Stout and Aiden Cannon both had two hits and combined to pitch a one-hitter.
Boys’ lacrosse
Caesar Rodney 13, Sussex Academy 7: The Riders built a 12-4 lead after three quarters before posting the win.
William Li (3 goals, 2 assists), Parker Smith (3 goals) and Patrick Craig (2 goals, 2 assists) led CR, which took 41 shots in the contest.
Cape Henlopen 23, Sussex Central 1: The Vikings (4-0) rolled to the Henlopen North victory, scoring 20 goals or more for the third straight contest.
Sussex Tech 14, Woodbridge 12: The Ravens evened their record at 3-3 with the win.
First State Military 14, A.I. duPont 0: The Bulldogs improved to 4-3 after winning their third game in a row, including their second straight shutout.
Caravel 18, Indian River 10: The Indians dropped a decision to the Buccaneers.
Girls’ lacrosse
Polytech 18, Sussex Tech 4: Elizabeth Szell, Madison Todd (2 assists), Danielle Conn (2 assists) and Molly Kenney all scored three goals for the Panthers (4-2), who won their fourth in a row.
Madison Short scored twice for the Ravens.
Caesar Rodney 15, St. Georges 1: Elle Roberts collected four goals and an assist for the Riders, who led 10-0 at halftime.
Nine players had goals for CR (5-3), which outshot the Hawks, 23-10.
Sussex Academy 23, J.M. Bennett 6: Macy Steinwedel netted six goals in the Seahawks’ victory.
Sussex Academy was also paced by Annabella Guckes (5 assists), Madison Leeper (2 assists) and Shelby Manlove with three gals apiece. Peyton Hagy made six saves.
Boys’ volleyball
Cape Henlopen 3, Dickinson 0: The Vikings improved to 8-0 with the 25-14, 25-15, 25-23 victory. Cape has yet to lose a set this season.
Smyrna 3, Christiana 0: The Eagles picked up the victory by scores of 25-12, 27-25, 25-9.
Jalen O’Neal had 12 kills for Smyrna, Joshua Michael had six kills, two aces and eight digs and Braeden Boulden added 10 digs, two aces and two kills.
College baseball
DSU’s Paige earns MEAC honor: Delaware State sophomore infielder Trey Paige has been named the MEAC Player of the Week.
Paige batted .500 for the week (8-for-16) with six extra-base hits and three home runs. He scored six runs and had five RBI. Paige now has a league-leading six homers this season.
Hens’ Carpenter gets CAA award: Delaware junior first baseman Joseph Carpenter was named the CAA Player of the Week.
Carpenter batted .588 during the four victories, leading the Blue Hens with 10 hits, nine runs scored, three triples and two homers while ranking second with three doubles and seven RBI.
College softball
Pair of Hens honored: Following a 4-0 week, Delaware junior pitcher Emily Winburn earned her second CAA Pitcher of the Week honor of the season while freshman pitcher Graceyn Frost took home her second CAA Rookie of the Week award.
Winburn made three appearances in the circle, going 2-0 in 15.2 innings without allowing an earned run. She limited the opposition to a .175 batting average and collected 11 strikeouts.
Frost posted a 1-0 record with a 0.60 ERA in 11.2 innings, tallying 10 strikeouts over three appearances.
College basketball
UD’s Dickey drafted with No. 30 pick: Delaware women’s basketball standout Jasmine Dickey was taken with the 30th pick by the Dallas Wings in the WNBA Draft on Monday night.
The two-time CAA Player of the Year, Dickey opted not to return for her final season of eligibility with the Blue Hens to make herself available for the draft. She averaged 25.3 ppg this past winter.
Dickey is just the third UD player to be drafted by the WNBA, joining Elena Delle Donne (No. 2 pick in 2013) and Polytech High grad Tyresa Smith (No. 18 pick in 2007).
The Wings’ season starts on May 7.
