Early College High overcame an early six-point deficit to rally for a 39-31 win over Lake Forest in Henlopen South girls’ basketball on Thursday night.
The Hornets are now 3-1 in the South, 5-1 overall. They won six games all last season.
Niacah Furlow, who went 7-of-14 from the foul line, finished with a team-high nine points for Early College. Marshay Brown, Havyn Greene and Zuri Matthews added eight points reach.
After trailing 15-9, the Hornets out-scored Lake Forest, 30-16 over the final three quarters.
Ivy Patten had a game-high 10 points for Lake Forest with Breanna Johnson scoring nine.
Polytech 44, Sussex Central 36: The Panthers out-scored the Golden Knights, 28-16, in the second half to pull out the Henlopen North win.
Junior Sky Naranjo (15 points, 10 rebounds, 3 steals) and Kallie Hopkins (12 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists) both posted double-doubles for Polytech.
Takyla Davis netted 24 points for the Golden Knights, sinking nine of their 13 field goals.
Smyrna 53, Caesar Rodney 31: The Eagles ended the contest on a 16-5 run to close out the North victory.
Kai Burnette (16), Jayde Rivera (14) and Amiyah Ellerbe (14) all led Smyrna.
Cape Henlopen HS 75, Milford 20: The Vikings tallied 32 of the game’s first 36 points before picking up the North victory.
Mya Maull and Faith Re both netted 20 points after hotting four three-pointers apiece for Cape Henlopen. Hayden Hudson (11 points, 6 rebounds) and Ja’Onna Lee (10 points, 4 rebounds, four assists) also scored in double digits.
Sussex Tech 39, Dover 37: The Ravens used an 18-3, second-quarter run to open up a 12-point, halftime lead before holding off the Senators.
Senior Justice Smack had a team-high 10 points for Sussex Tech with Sara Zionna Benson netting 12 for Dover.
Woodbridge 68, Seaford 29: The Blue Raiders led 41-6 by halftime before rasing their record to 5-0 in the South.
Payton Keeler scored 23 points to lead Woodbridge with Tianna NEal adding 21.
Laurel 42, Indian River 31: The Bulldogs opened up a 26-19 lead by halftime in the South win.
Delmar 47, Sussex Academy 23: The Wildcats improved to 3-2 with the Henlopen South victory.

Cape Henlopen 68, Milford 49: The Vikings raised their record to 4-1 in the North, 6-2 overall with the victory.
Polytech 77, Sussex Central 67: The Panthers built a 61-50 lead going into the fourth quarter before improving to 5-0 in the North.
Dorell Little finished with 23 points for Polytech with Kyle Gamber (18), Brett Shelton-Hoskins (13) and Jalen Anderson (13) also leading the way.
Dover 54, Sussex Tech 37: The Senators closed out the North win with a 19-7 run in the fourth quarter.
Jaheim Harrell netted 18 points with Denim Perkins scoring 12 for Dover.
Caesar Rodney 71, Smyrna 66: Sophomore Khalil Kemp poured in 32 points, with six three-pointers, as the Riders won their second game in a row.
Joshua Wright (18), Obinna Coleman (17), Daniel Lerro (17) and Chase Sullivan (14) all reached double figures for the Eagles.
Seaford 76, Woodbridge 65: The Blue Jays (6-0) stayed unbeaten by holding off the Blue Raiders for the South victory.
Ayvion Matthews tallied 25 points for Seaford, Careen Bolden had 14 and Makel Hubbard scored 11.
Woodbridge was led by Bruce Mosley (19), Traci Johnson (16), Ci-Atrick Stones (14) and Isaiah Giles (12).
Laurel 63, Indian River 55: The Bulldogs opened up a 45-29 advantage after three quarters before registering the South win.
Corey Mumford (14), Tyronn Kane (13), Dontarius Jones (13), Brock Hill (11) and Klyse Wilson (10) all scored in double figures for Laurel.
Brendon Bradford tallied 24 points with six three-pointers for the Indians, who hit 12 threes in the contest.

Cape Henlopen 84, Dover 0: The Vikings collected 12 pins in the Henlopen North victory on Wednesday night.
Tripp Gannon (106 pounds) posted a 20-second fall for Cape Henlopen (3-1 overall), which improved to 3-0 in the North.
Cale Baker (113), Nicolas Walker (132), Joshua Wright (138), Andrew Schaen (150), Charles Fritchman (175) and Luke Arnold-Decyk (190) also had first-period pins.
