Christopher Vonhoff netted 12 points with Wyatt Kwiatkowski adding 11 for Delmarva Christian (4-0).
The Royals also got six three-pointers from six different players.
Holly Grove Christian, Md. 61, St. Thomas More 47: The Ravens’ record fell to 0-3 with the setback on Monday.
Girls’ basketball
Delmarva Christian 92, Gunston, Md. 14: Grace Fetterman tallied 24 points as the Royals improved to 4-0.
Sierra Troyer (19), Mara Agapito (18) and Savannah Stewart (10) also reached double figures for Delmarva Christian.
Holly Grove Christian, Md. 69, St. Thomas More 12: The Ravens dropped to 0-3 with loss on Monday.
College track & field
McFolling-Young among UD winners: The Delaware women’s track & field team posted four ECAC qualifying marks, top-10 times in school history and several personal bests at the TCNJ Open at the New York Armory on Saturday.
Smyrna High grad Myrissa McFolling-Young won the shot put with a throw of 43-6 for the 13th win of her career.
Redshirt junior Mackenzie Jones (5000m), senior Michaela Meyer (1000m and mile), junior Bethany Clement (weight throw) and sophomore Halimah Roberson (triple jump) all earned ECAC qualifying marks. In addition to the victories in four of those events, the Hens also took home wins from Khamoy Farquharson (60m), Trinity Tapper (60m unseeded), Alyssa Armor (400m) and Roshelle Leaks.
Meyer earned victories in the 1000m (2:55.33) and mile (4:56.87). while leading a top-three sweep for Delaware in each event. Jones’ performance not only grabbed her a spot in the ECAC indoors, but also was the second-best time in school history at 17:09.81.
Clement unleashed a PR, besting her previously mark by nearly 10 feet. Her toss of 55’ ¾” led the Blue Hens throws group that took four of the top-five marks.
Roberson will return to ECACs for the second straight year after placing second last winter. Her leap of 39’4” was good for a top-three finish this past weekend.
