Camden-Wyoming advanced to the District I baseball tournament finals with a 15-0 win over MOT on Friday night.
CW will play Dover in the title game on Sunday at 7 p.m. at Milford. If Camden-Wyoming loses, a second game will be played on Monday night.
Pitcher Parker White allowed only one hit in 3.1 innings and also drove in a pair of runs for CW. Nate Gatti had a two-run double with White adding a double and an RBI.
For MOT, Connor Robovitsky, Jayden Watras, Noah Cooper and Xavier Phares all had hits.
CW has won its first two games by a combined 30-4. The state tournament is also being played at Milford starting on July 24.
Dover 21, MOT 5: Dover (3-1) used a nine-run first inning to take control before winning their third game in a row on Saturday night.
Dover faces Camden-Wyoming on Sunday at 7 p.m. at Milford needing a victory to force a second game for the title.
Caleb Darling pitched a complete game, striking out seven in four innings. Preston Byrd scored four runs and had three RBI while Jeremy Drago went 4-for-4 with three runs and four RBI.
Dover 15, Felton-Harrington 10: Dover (2-1) aveneged its earlier loss in the tourney with the losers’ bracket win on Friday.
Friday’s contest lasted four hours. Dover rallied from an early five-run deficit behind triples from Jeremy Drago and Carter Bean and relief pitching from Braden Cutchin.
Camden-Wyoming 15, Felton-Harrington 4: Camden-Wyoming opened the tourney with the win on Thursday.
Pacing Camden-Wyoming were Parker White (2 hits, 2 RBI), Dennis Wilson (2-run triple), Nate Guy (3 runs) and winning pitcher Cole Weaver.
Felton-Harrington got hits from Chase Johnson, Vance Benson and Brandon Whiteknight.

MOT 7, Camden-Wyoming 2: MOT opened the Major League baseball District I tournament with the victory over Camden-Wyoming on Friday night.
After Saturday’s games were rained out, the Middletown-area squad will take on Felton-Harrington on Sunday at 6 p.m. in Dover in the six-team, double-elimination tourney.
Dominic Rose, who went 3 2/3 innings, Gavin Thomas, Lee Santoro and Nathan Collins all pitched for MOT in Friday’s win.
Santoro went 2-for-4 with a double while Spencer Flayhart, Grayson Walls, Collins and Rose all added hits.
Maddox Pappen went 3-for-3 for Camden-Wyoming, which plays again on Monday at 8:30 p.m.
Milford 10, Dover 0: Mason Farissier struck out nine in four shutout innings in Milford’s tournament win.
Milford plays again on Sunday when it takes on Smyrna-Clayton at 8:30 p.m. at Dover.
Farissier also had three hits (2 triples) in Friday’s victory. Ryan Farissier had two hits, including a double, while Connor Hudson scored three runs.
Jim Saunders had the lone hit for Dover, which next plays on Monday at 6 p.m.
8-10 tournament
MOT 22, Felton-Harrington 0: Billy Wineley and Trevor Abbott combined to pitch a three-inning perfect game with six strikeouts as MOT advanced in the District I tournament.
Wineley also had three hits, three RBI and four runs scored for MOT. Kyle Bailey and Maddox Day both had two RBI and three runs.

Camden-Wyoming 16, New Castle/Suburban 4: The District I champions opened the best-of-three state tournament with a win on Saturday night.
CW’s 15-hit attack was paced by Alyssa Kennard (2 hits, homer), Keira Fendt (2 hits, double, 2 runs), Audrey Carroll (3 hits, double, 2 runs), Brooke Turner (3 hits, triple, 2 runs), Amiya Carpenter (1 hit, 2 runs), Samantha Wilson (1 hit, 1 run), Maddie Porrell (1 hit, 1 run) and Maddie Wood (double). Winning pitcher Amy Gaddis threw a two-hitter with six strikeouts.
The two squads are slated to play again on Sunday at 7 p.m. at Surburban. The state champion advances to the East Regional in Worcester, Mass.
College track & field
Former Hornet wins special event: Delaware State alumni and former track & field standout Alan Laws, now a New Jersey State Trooper, has earned the title of “Fastest Law Enforcement Officer in the U.S.”
Laws, who graduated in 2011, recently captured four gold medals at the United States Police and Fire Championships in San Diego. He topped the field in the 400-meter dash and 400-meter hurdles, in addition to helping lead his 4x400 and 4x100 relay teams to first-place finishes at the event.
The 32-year old Laws joined the New Jersey State Police in 2017. He was a member of the Delaware State cross country and track & field teams from 2007-11.
He was the Hornets’ 2010-11 men’s cross country Academic MVP, and a key member of the 4x400 and 4x100 relay teams.
