REHOBOTH BEACH - Lionel Barnes,a local resident of Rehoboth Beach for more than two decades, died suddenly Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2012. Lionel was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pa., the only child of Donald Lawrence Barnes and Joyce B. (Mack) Barnes. He attended the prestigious Central High School in Philadelphia and Drexel University with a MS in Chemical Engineering. Currently he was a student and teacher at Del Tech Georgetown Campus where he was completing yet another degree program. A home-going service will be held on Friday, Sept. 21,2012 at 4 p.m. at the Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE where friends and family may call one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Ocala, Florida. Cards, letters, flowers or messages may be sent to the Mack/Barnes Family at Parsell Funeral Homes through Thursday Sept. 20, 2012 until close of business. Afterwards, the family will receive any mail to Ms. Virlean Mack, 1450 Holly Street NW, Washington DC. 20012.
