Linda L. Kimmey

MILFORD - Linda L. Kimmey, passed away Tuesday, August 14, 2012, in her home. Linda was born in Kentucky, daughter of Mildred (Keown) Gibbons and the late Wilbur Gibbons. She was a homemaker and enjoyed crocheting and cross-stitch. Linda attended St. John's Catholic Church and was a graduate of Milford High School Class of 1968. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 29 years, David Kimmey; two daughters, Morgan Kimmey and boyfriend Timothy Barnett, and Samantha Kimmey and boyfriend Jay Murphy; four grandchildren, Amber, Ivan, Brandon and Ethan; eight siblings, Lee Gibbons (Sandy), David Gibbons, Rose Collins (Gary), Brenda Parson, Rita Shell, Thomas Gibbons (Melissa), Willie Gibbons (Sheila) and Robert Gibbons (Karen). A memorial service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, August 20, 2012, in the Chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market Street, Georgetown. Burial will immediately follow at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro. The family sends a special thank you to Delaware Hospice, Dr. Rishi Sawhney and the Milford Cancer Center for their care and concern for Linda during her illness. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, De 19963.
